Your Operations Are in the GCC. Your Data Partner Should Understand Both.

US and Canadian companies — corporate functions in New York, Chicago, or the broader North American market — with manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain operations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, or Southeast Asia that need a data partner who actually understands those markets.

What we actually see
in North America

North America engagements at MDI are almost always cross-market. The corporate function is here; the operational problem is in Dubai, Riyadh, Hyderabad, or Singapore. US-based clients typically have higher awareness of modern data stack tooling — Snowflake, dbt, Databricks are understood at the technical level. What's harder to find is a partner with deep GCC or India operational domain knowledge who can apply those tools to a manufacturing plant in KIZAD or a distribution network spanning five Indian states. That's the combination we provide. The Fractional Data Consultant model — senior CDO-level capability on a retained basis without the New York CDO salary — resonates particularly well with mid-market North American manufacturers who have the complexity but not the budget for a full-time hire.

Why MDI for North America clients

  • Fractional Data Consultant model: senior data leadership retained monthly — not a full-time CDO hire at New York rates
  • GCC and India operational depth — the market expertise that US-based data consultancies don't carry
  • SOX compliance and SEC reporting requirements built into data governance frameworks from the start
  • Snowflake, Databricks, and dbt alongside Microsoft Fabric — we work in your stack, not ours

Industries we work in across North America

Sector depth matters. Generic BI consulting doesn't solve plant-floor problems.

Common questions · North America

What North America buyers actually ask

Direct answers — no consultant-speak. If yours isn't here, it will be answered in the first call.

We run Snowflake and dbt, not Microsoft. Are you still a fit?

Yes. We build Microsoft-first because that is where most industrial estates already are, but we work in your stack rather than ours — Snowflake, Databricks and dbt alongside Microsoft Fabric. US clients typically understand the modern data stack well at a technical level. What is harder to find is a partner who also carries GCC or India operational domain knowledge and can apply it to your overseas sites. If your problem is genuinely a tooling problem, we will say so.

Our corporate function is in the US but the operations are overseas. How does that work?

That is almost every North America engagement we run — the corporate function is here, the operational problem is in Dubai, Riyadh, Hyderabad or Singapore. We cover the sites where the problem actually is, backed by the Hyderabad delivery centre, and report into the corporate function that needs the consolidated view. The market expertise for those sites is the part US-based consultancies do not carry.

Can you meet SOX and SEC reporting requirements?

SOX compliance and SEC reporting requirements are built into the data governance framework from the start, not retrofitted before an audit. Modelling the controls and lineage at the data layer is what keeps the audit trail defensible when the underlying operational data sits in another jurisdiction.

We are not ready to hire a full-time CDO. What are the options?

The Fractional Chief Data Officer model — senior data leadership retained monthly rather than a full-time hire at New York rates. You get the person who builds it, not a sales engineer followed by a junior delivery team. First working output in 6 weeks, fixed scope, fixed fee confirmed after a 30-minute diagnostic.

Working in North America?
Let's talk.

30 minutes. No pitch deck. Just a direct conversation about your data, where it lives, and what you actually want it to do.

  • Where your data actually lives across North America operations — the systems, the gaps, the manual workarounds
  • The one or two operational problems worth fixing first — and why
  • What a governed Microsoft Fabric and Power BI foundation would change
  • A realistic first-value timeline — working output in 6 weeks, not a 50-slide roadmap
